Who I Am
I'm Oluwasegun Peter Omotosho, a Network Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a passion for building robust network infrastructure and automating complex operations. My journey in networking began during my undergraduate studies in Electronics/Electrical Engineering at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, and has evolved into a career focused on service provider networking and automation.
What Drives Me
I believe that great networks should be reliable, efficient, and self-healing — basically the network should just work always. This philosophy drives my commitment to network automation and optimization. I'm driven by the challenge of taking complex network architectures and making them manageable, scalable, and future-proof through intelligent automation and strategic design.
My Approach
My work sits at the intersection of traditional networking and modern automation. I combine deep expertise in routing protocols — I particularly love BGP, MPLS technologies, and cloud connectivity with programming skills in Python and infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible. This allows me to not just build networks, but to build networks that manage themselves.
Beyond the Console
When I'm not configuring routers or writing automation scripts, I'm staying current with emerging networking technologies, contributing to technical communities, and exploring how new paradigms like intent-based networking and AI-driven operations will shape our industry's future. I also love Arsenal FC and volunteer in church in the Choir department.
